PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITIONS
Thanks to its unique fund of pictures, Alinari organizes and produces original exhibitions, each supported by a catalogue, on the history, traditions, economy, cultural, social and artistic development in Italy and the world.
In addition Alinari also produces thematic exhibits on specific products (from cigars to chocolate, refuse to the olive, to cite only a few) or exhibits for specific occasions (for example, the 100° anniversary of the birth of Giuseppe Verdi, the 50° anniversary of the return of Trieste to Italy).
The quality of the end product is constantly controlled by Alinari during the specific phases in the realization of a project. Historical research is carried out and edited by a research team, working both in the collections of the Alinari Archives and in museums, public and private institutions and with international collectors, in their effort to find all the iconographic material required.
In addition to the complete preparation of the exhibition project, the "turnkey" service offered by Fratelli Alinari for exhibitions includes transportation, insurance, installation, press office, communication, printing promotional material, management of the exhibition space, as well as sales desk and ticket office services.
Alinari exhibitions can be circulated both in Italy and abroad. Thanks to the collaboration of the Smithsonian Institute of Washington, the traveling show "Italy: One Hundred Years of Photography" toured over 25 cities in North America. The exhibit "Italy, the One and Only, photographs 1900-2000" was presented in 25 Italian regional capitals and 30 cities abroad.
Moreover, thanks to its collaborative association with leading international museums and institutions, Alinari was chosen to present their photographic exhibits (Crown and Camera, Picasso and Photography, Henry Cartier-Bresson photographer, Robert Capa) in Italy.
